Guidelines for Applying for DACA Renewal
According to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) DACA renewal guidelines, you may apply for a DACA renewal as long as you meet the following criteria:
Did not leave the U.S. without Advance Parole :
You must not have left the U.S. without advance parole since August 15, 2012.
Continuous Residence in the U.S .:
You must have continuously resided in the U.S. since your original DACA application.
Criminal Record :
- You must not have been convicted of a felony or certain misdemeanors.
- It must not pose a threat to national security or public safety.
Additionally, you will be required to comply with initial DACA guidelines, which include the following:
Age as of June 15, 2012 : Must have been under 31 years of age as of June 15, 2012.
Date of Arrival in the U.S.: You must have arrived in the U.S. before your 16th birthday.
Continuous Residence : Must have continuously resided in the U.S. from June 15, 2007, to the present.
Physical Presence on June 15, 2012 : You must have been physically present in the U.S. on June 15, 2012, and at the time of your initial DACA application.
Education or Military Service : Must be currently in school, have graduated from high school, obtained your GED, or be an honorably discharged veteran of the Coast Guard or Armed Forces.
